Role Detail

Description

Praxis is a charity for migrants and refugees. We are now recruiting volunteers to support the children’s crèche for the Women Inspiring Next Generations (WINGS) group. WINGS is a group of women who, with their young children, come together to nurture their wellbeing, build new positive relationships and respite from the demands of everyday life. To ensure that the mothers are able focus on the sessions we will be running a crèche for the children. The session will take place on Tuesdays and the volunteers are needed from 10am to 2pm at our Praxis office in Bethnal Green. Induction and ongoing training and supervision will be provided. Tasks will include: • Setting up play for the children so that parents can focus on the session, reassured that their kids are happy. • Ensuring that the children are safely occupied and entertained. • Setting up and packing away before and after workshops. • Carrying out administrative duties and tasks. This is a wonderful role for anyone looking to gain crèche/nursery experience, and/or who loves working with young children. The role is only open to female volunteers, aged 18+, who are willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check (which will be paid for by Praxis).
