Description

Independent You CIC's mission is to empower and upskill SEND children and young adults to be ‘World and Work Ready’ with life skills, travel training, social skills, personal shopping, sports & recreational provisions and ready to work CV building (plus more). We are looking for volunteers to help us with our Multi Sports Club for SEND children and young people aged 11-25 years old. The Club is every Monday from 16 September until 14 October 2024. The club runs from 5pm to 6pm. Volunteers are asked to be there from 4.45pm to 6.15pm. You will be helping to run sports activities for the young people e.g. football and boccia, adapted to their needs. You will work as part of the team and also on a 1-1 basis with the young people.

Time Commitment

The Club is for 5 weeks - every Monday from 16 September until 14 October 2024. The club runs from 5pm to 6pm. Volunteers are asked to be there from 4.45pm to 6.15pm. This would be a total of 7.5 hours of volunteering. Ideally you will volunteer for all of the five Monday sessions, as our service users benefit from seeing familiar faces.
