Description

Independent You CIC are currently looking for 3 or 4 volunteers to join our community. Could one of them be you? Our mission is to empower and upskill SEND children and young adults to be ‘World and Work Ready’ with life skills, travel training, social skills, personal shopping, sports & recreational provisions and ready to work CV building (plus more). We are looking for volunteers to help us with our Summer Camp for children and young people aged 6-18 years old with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The camp will run for two weeks, from 19 August to 31 August 2024 (but NOT on the bank holiday on 26 August). The club runs from 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday. Volunteers are asked to be there from 9.45am to 2.15pm. You will be helping to run activities for the young people, including arts and crafts, games and messy play. You will work as part of the team and also on a 1-1 basis with the young people.

Time Commitment
