Healthy Island Partnership is committed to ensuring that all residents of the Isle of Dogs have the opportunity to lead a good quality of life and improve their health and wellbeing. To support this, we run a community project focusing on tackling health inequalities, loneliness, and isolation. We support local residents to become volunteers who promote positive health and wellbeing, by leading and getting involved with various groups for patients and the local community to attend, such as a walking group, coffee morning, bereavement group and SEND parent group.
No particular skills required.
Becoming a volunteer could not only improve your health and wellbeing, it can also be very rewarding and widen your social circle whilst you are engaging with your local community, it can boost your confidence and even help you learn new skills for opportunities in the future. Training Provided.
This is a very flexible role. Any time you can provide is perfect. This could be an hour or two a week/month, mornings, evenings or weekends.
