London Jaguars are a dynamic community-oriented sports and wellbeing team dedicated to engaging and inspiring our service users through compelling visual storytelling. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic volunteer photographer to capture the excitement and spirit of our events, practices, and community activities. This role is crucial for enhancing our visual presence and documenting the journey of our team and supporters. Project Description: The volunteer photographer will play a key role in documenting the London Jaguars’ events, games, and community engagements. This position involves capturing high-quality images that reflect the energy, passion, and diverse experiences of our team and fans. The images will be used across various platforms, including social media, our website, and promotional materials. You are welcome to use your own camera. Volunteer’s Main Tasks: - Event Photography: Attend games, practices, and community events to capture action shots, team interactions, and candid moments. - Photo Editing: Edit and enhance photos to ensure they meet quality standards and are ready for publication. - Archiving: Organize and maintain a digital archive of images, ensuring they are easily accessible for future use. - Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and social media teams to understand specific photography needs and align with the overall visual strategy. - Creative Input: Provide creative input on how to visually represent the London Jaguars, contributing ideas for photo shoots and visual storytelling. Who You Will Be Volunteering With: Volunteers will work alongside the marketing team, social media coordinators, and other content creators. Collaboration with players, coaches, and community members will be a key aspect of this role, ensuring a comprehensive visual representation of the London Jaguars’ activities. Key Dates or Deadlines: Application Deadline: Rolling Orientation and Training Session: As soon as possible Regular Events: Weekly games, practices, and community events as scheduled. Special Projects: Participation in special photo shoots and promotional campaigns throughout the season. Skills: - Photography: Proficiency in using DSLR or mirrorless cameras, with a solid understanding of composition, lighting, and camera settings. - Photo Editing: Experience with photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar tools to enhance and finalize images. - Action Photography: Ability to capture dynamic action shots, particularly in a sports environment, to highlight key moments and emotions. - Technical Knowledge: Understanding of photography equipment, including lenses, flashes, and other accessories, to ensure high-quality images in various settings. - Archiving and Organization: Skills in organizing and maintaining a digital archive of photographs, ensuring easy access and retrieval. Abilities: - Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality, visually appealing photographs. - Adaptability: Flexibility to work in different environments and adapt to changing conditions during events. - Time Management: Efficiently manage time to cover events comprehensively, including pre-event preparations and post-event editing. - Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to interact with team members, coaches, and community members, ensuring clear understanding of photography needs and expectations. This will be throughout the year on weekly basis. Able to commit 2 hours a week Our summer holiday activities will be taking place from 6th - 24th August 2024. We will also have activities during Christmas and Easter holidays.
