Role Detail

Description

More Life Home is an environmentally conscious non-for profit organisation with a mission to ensure every child has a bed to sleep in and every family has a sofa to gather on. More Life Home provides free, and low cost furniture and household goods for low-income families, care leavers and ex -homeless people who are living in poverty or dealing with crisis. By redistributing furniture items, due to be sent to landfill, into the homes of those experiencing crisis, we are working to help save the environment and create warmth in homes of those unable to do so for themselves. As part of this work, we host upcycling workshops that enable us to repair and personalise furniture, making it that little bit extra special when it is placed into a home. This is a great opportunity for volunteers to get involved in a unique experience that will enable them to gain both practical and creative skills. Working alongside existing volunteers and More Life Home staff you will be involved with the following: ● Ensuring the sign in sheets are completed by those participating in the workshop ● Helping set up and tidy away the workshop space ● Giving out and collecting feedback forms ● Taking pictures and videos of the workshop ● Supporting the workshop facilitator to organise and issue materials ● For those wishing to work on their admin skills, uploading workshop data into the laptop/PC ● For those confident using social media, posting on Instagram We would love to have some new volunteers join as soon as possible to get involved in our workshops taking place over the summer in the following dates: September 5th, 11th, 12th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 24th, 25th, 27th.
