Description

Are you a qualified massage therapist who wants to expand your experience? Poplar HARCA are looking for a volunteer to take over our well-established massage therapy sessions that run once a month. Sessions are delivered to the public on a 1-2-1 basis as 30-minute appointments. We’re happy for you to deliver reflexology, facial massages, or a massage that falls under your expertise. The sessions are once a month - first or last Friday of the month - between 10am and 4pm in E14. Description of tasks: - You will need to set up your own equipment, ensuring that you can clean up efficiently between appointments - Have open communication during sessions so that expectations are met - Feed back to centre staff about how sessions are going You must have your own Public Liability Insurance for this role.

Why these skills are required

We are looking for a friendly, inviting and committed massage therapist volunteer who: - Has own Public Liability Insurance - Holds a massage therapy qualification - Is ideally a member of a professional body (desirable) - Has good communication and speaking skills - Is time efficient - Will be responsible and follow Poplar HARCA health & safety guidelines All volunteers are required to complete an application form, attend an informal interview and give two referees' details. You may also be required to undertake a DBS (criminal record) check which we will pay for. If successful your volunteer role will begin with a 1-month trial period.

Time Commitment

We are looking for someone who can help once a month on the first or last Friday of the month, 10am–4pm.
