Description

Join us at FoodCycle Stepney Green on Monday afternoons where we work together to cook a delicious three-course meal for the community! As a cooking volunteer you’ll help to create a meal made of surplus food that would otherwise go to waste. You don’t need to have any previous cooking/kitchen experience and there is also no minimum commitment, meaning you can volunteer as little or as often as you like! All you need to do is register an account with us at https://volunteer.foodcycle.org.uk/volunteer-sign-up Once registered, you can simply sign up to slots as you please!

Why these skills are required

Volunteers do not need any previous experience to join us – you just need a good attitude and a willingness to help! We will provide all the necessary equipment and inductions for volunteers. There will also be a Project Leader present to assist with any questions.

What is in it for you

There are many benefits to volunteering with FoodCycle Stepney Green including, giving back to the community, cooking skills, teamwork and the opportunity to do extra training such as Food Safety and first aid! We are also looking for Project Leaders who are senior volunteers that lead a session on a once a month basis and ensure the smooth running of the session. Time Commitment

Ideally, you will volunteer on Mondays, 10.15am-3pm.
