Description

Could you be a role model for a Little Londoner? Whether you’re playing games or discussing goals, you’ll be making a difference to a child’s life by building their confidence, resilience and developing the tools for a positive future. You’ll also get to learn new things about yourself and develop your skills and connections through our peer mentoring network. You will be trained and assisted to provide safe, fun and engaging mentoring. Sessions will be weekly and will last between 1 and 3 hours over the course of one year. You will focus on the individual needs of the child, supporting them during a crucial stage in their social and emotional development. You will do different activities together, across the borough, which can include visiting parks, museums, cafes etc. The children supported will be aged 8-11 years.

Time Commitment

Each session is between 1 and 3 hours long, and sessions take place once a week. This will be outside of school hours, so you will need to be available to mentor either on a weekday after school, or early evening, or at the weekend.
