Description

It can be hard to maintain connections if you are digitally excluded - learning Digital Skills can be fun and reduce isolation. We have a NEW Digital Champions programme launching this summer for older people in Sutton to increase Digital Awareness and Skills. Do you have strong digital skills and enjoy teaching people new things? Are you patient and empathetic with good communication skills? Are you able to give 2 hours per week to volunteer? ABOUT THE ROLE: -Provide a warm welcome to our clients and the public -Support our clients to engage with Digital Skills and Devices through goal setting and use of a Digital Skills learning-log -Help staff with the running or set up of our Digital Skills groups or events -Submit feedback and pass on any questions or concerns. DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU? -Enjoy meeting new people in a one-to-one or group setting -Strong digital skills and confidence using Smart Phones, Tablets or Laptops -Friendly and approachable -Patient and empathetic without judgement -Good communication and listening skills -Able to complete feedback forms -Willing to complete training on key topics (such as Digital Champions training, confidentiality and safeguarding), and commit to the values and policies of Age UK Sutton (including holding appropriate boundaries).
