Description

Provide a warm welcome to visitors and callers at Age UK Sutton's office, and help staff with office admin tasks and to provide our clients with information and options. Do you like to help people? Are you happy talking on the phone? Do you enjoy being in an office environment? Are you looking to learn new skills or make new friends? Then this could be the volunteer role you are looking for........ ABOUT THE ROLE: - Provide a warm welcome to visitors at Age UK Sutton's office. - Help staff to provide our clients with information and options. - Respond to general queries on our helpline. - Support with office admin tasks (e.g. letters, scanning & printing). - Learn how to update client information on our database - Submit feedback forms and pass on any questions or concerns. - Participate in supervisions as well as learning and development. - Minimum commitment: From 3 hours per week, depending on activity. DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU? - Friendly and approachable manner, and enjoy meeting new people. - Comfortable working in an office environment. - Able to use, or willing to learn about using, the phone or computer and completing basic admin tasks. - Good communication and listening skills, offering offer patience and empathy without judgement. - Can offer reliability and commitment to the values and policies of Age UK Sutton, including holding appropriate boundaries, and understanding confidentiality and safeguarding (training provided).
