We are looking for helpers to work with all sections of this special needs scout group (Beavers aged 6-8, Cubs aged 8-10, scouts aged 10-14 and Explorers aged 14-18). The young people have a variety of additional needs, ranging from learning and behavioural difficulties to physical disabilities. Helpers assist the unit leaders in running games, crafts and other activites, encouraging the young people to take part. (You are not expected to provide personal care.) There are opportunities to get further involved, by taking up a leadership position and/or by helping out with camps and day trips. The sessions run during school term times and are on Wednesday evening. The session times are between 45 minutes and 1 hour with additional time for setting up and down.
