Role Detail

Description

Conquest Art is a Charity which aims to encourage people coping with disability and long-term health issues by bringing into their lives new skills, pleasures and friendship through art. Looking for enthusiastic and committed volunteers to re-open and run our Worcester Park art group. We are a Charity, inspiring people with disabilities and long-term health issues to discover their creative energy and build self-confidence through art. Working at their own pace in supportive groups, our members find both relaxation and fresh stimulus, along with the opportunity to make new friends. Conquest Art groups are all run by volunteers who offer their time and enthusiasm and with support, are rewarded by the sense of fulfilment that comes with being involved from such a worthwhile cause. Your few hours a week could make a real difference to people's lives. We are seeking a group leader and volunteer helpers willing to re-open and support our Worcester Park art group. The group is temporarily closed, and we would like to reopen in the upcoming months. Not every volunteer needs artistic ability, but you do need to be over 18 and a ‘people person’. All art groups need a team of volunteers which have a variety of different gifts from organisational skills, artistic experience to someone dealing with the money or making the tea. Most of all they need your enthusiasm to help create a friendly welcoming environment where members feel relaxed and able to make the most of their time with them. Volunteers are the people who make Conquest Art possible. Could you join the team? Please contact us for more information and they will arrange for you to visit one of our current groups to see how they are run and how you can get involved in the volunteer team. If interested in this role please contact: Tina McJarrow, enquiries@conquestart.org, 020 8393 7707 and apply through their website: https://www.conquestart.org/volunteers/ quoting you found out about it through Volunteer Centre Sutton.
