Role Detail

Description

Whitehall Historic House is a Tudor building & has an important role in the Cheam local community. We are seeking Front of House Volunteers to welcome visitors to the building & offer a high level of customer service as they explore the House. You may be asked to lead short tours around the building to individuals & groups. Training will be provided. The purpose of the role is to provide a warm welcome and excellent customer service to visitors to the museum. What’s involved? o To greet visitors, record admissions, and give a mini-guide of the museum. o To answer the telephone and record all messages. o To handle initial enquiries about group activities. o To keep the welcome desk area clean and tidy. Why these skills are required

Good communication skills. You will need to be able to communicate with people of all ages and backgrounds. Ability and willingness to learn about the history of the museum and the local area. Willingness to follow procedures and ask for assistance when needed. Customer care skills and a friendly approach needed.
