Join one of TCV's Green Gyms in Waltham Forest and become part of a community of people protecting their local green spaces and the wildlife within all whilst benefitting their own body and mind. You'll be getting your hands dirty using a wide variety of hand tools to complete a multitude of tasks designed to maintain the health of the natural world. Ranging from but not limited to; planting trees, creating and maintaining wildflower meadows, surveying plants and animals and even a bit of gardening on occasion! All sessions are free and include tea, coffee and biscuits!
No skills required - just a can do attitude and a willingness to learn!
Spending time working outdoors in green spaces has been shown to have a compound effect on health and wellbeing when compared to exercise or spending outdoors individually, our green gyms provide both of those in spades! (excuse the pun) We also have strong pathways towards employment within the sector and beyond, come and join in and see what a green gym can do for you!
