Description

-Provide a positive impact on the local community by supporting our service users who face social exclusion by being friendly and polite and providing good service. It can be very intimidating for people to come in and ask for help so we want to make our guests feel at ease. -Supporting people and their families who face food poverty by getting good quality food packages home. Please bear in mind that a lot of our service users have no recourse to public funds and no income therefore are living in extremely difficult situations. -address the underlying causes of food inequality and empower

Why these skills are required

We will provide a general induction, training specific to the role as well as ongoing development opportunities. We frequently run free online food allergy and food hygiene courses as well as in-person first aid training.

Time Commitment

Able to commit to 4 hours or more weekly We run four sessions across four centres weekly: Tuesdays: New Covenant Church, 506-510 Old Kent Road, SE1 5BA 11.30 to 2pm Wednesdays: St. Paul’s Church, 4 Lorrimore Square, SE17 3QU 11:30am-1:30pm Thursdays: Spring Community Hub, 161 Benhill Road, Camberwell, London, SE5 7LL 9.15am to 1.30pm) Fridays: Spring Community Hub, 86- 88 Vestry Road , Camberwell, London, SE5 8PQ 9.45am to 1.30pm
