Role Detail

Description

Impact: You will be helping to provide support to the local communities and families on low incomes. You will be part of a program that tackles food insecurity and keeps children entertained during this time of high living costs. In order to volunteer, you must have an enhanced DBS check (Children's barred list information) issued within the last 12 months. If you do not have one, we can request one for you at no cost.

Art & Craft

Why these skills are required

Duties: -Create a safe & fun environment for children and their parents/carers. -Enjoy working creatively with children and their parents/carers to organise enjoyable activities. -Assist in organising activities for Parents/ Carers and their children. -Set up equipment & ensure safety in all areas. -Supervise lunchtime refreshments for the children and their families -Maintain good hygiene & cleanliness standards -Follow safeguarding guidelines & procedures in line with Spring Community Hub policies. -Provide basic first aid when necessary & record any incidents according to school policy -Previous childcare experience is desirable but not required as relevant training will be provided. -You may also lead sessions on arts, drama, singing, dancing, or storytelling if interested.

Time Commitment

Ability to commit to a few days during the holiday season Monday to Thursday ONLY 09:30-2:00 pm
