What will the volunteer be doing? This role will involve the following: Social Media: Supporting colleagues to research, plan and produce relevant and engaging social media content which promotes Waterloo Community Counselling. Website: Working alongside the communications officer to review and update content on the WCC website. Newsletter: Being involved in the planning and creating of regular compelling newsletters. Graphics: Using Canva templates to generate beautiful graphics and images which can be used across all WCC communications and marketing.
The volunteer will feel comfortable using computers and familiar with social media platforms. Ideal candidate would be someone studying social media / marketing at university but the role is open for any people who are keen to support the digital output of a small but dynamic organisation.
The volunteer will share their skills and experience within a small team to improve the digital communications of an important charitable service in London. The volunteer will directly contribute to raising awareness of the organisation which will benefit people needing mental health support and strengthen the community. The volunteer's commitment of time and energy will support members of staff in a real and valuable way, and increase the organisation's capacity.
We are hoping the volunteer would spend a minimum of half a day once a week, and a maximum of a full day once a week (this could be two half days). Our office hours are 9:30-5:30 Monday to Friday. We can offer flexibility and the volunteer can choose which day(s) work best for them.
