(1) The role would suit someone that has strong presentation & communication skills and someone who is passionate & committed to tackling educational inequality. (2) You will receive induction & training, as well as regular support & supervision and a volunteer handbook. (3) We will need to conduct reference checks and you will need an Enhanced DBS for this role as you will be working directly with children. We can process this for you or you may submit one if this is less than 2 years old.
(1) Volunteer Coding Workshop Facilitators will get involved with online workshops or be part of a panel of speakers during our live online webinars. (2) Facilitators will need to be able to work collaboratively with other other event coordinators, volunteers, ambassadors, workshop facilitators and speakers at our events. (3) Delivering and leading short workshops or courses, on behalf of GT Scholars (Online or offline). (4) Designing engaging, interactive and educational workshops and short courses for young people and ensuring that the content is targeted to suit different abilities and capabilities. (5) Running your own bespoke workshops, eg. workshops in coding and technology. (6) Managing short activities and Q&A sessions during our workshops.

(3) You will inspire the next generation to build soft skills and learn from industry role models and mentors. (4) With the GT Scholars programme, you will be a part of a team that tackles educational inequality by giving ambitious young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, the strategies, skills and support they need to achieve their academic and career ambitions. (5) Gain interesting and new perspectives by working with young people from diverse backgrounds. (6) Receive training and support and be part of a community of like-minded volunteers.
Facilitator sessions range from 2 to 6 hours.
