Help us make Barnes Common the cleanest common in London! Litter-picking is a vital part of our conservation work and one that makes a huge difference to our green spaces. It takes many hours and the work of not only staff, but our many volunteers. We are looking to recruit a number of 'Area Friends' who are willing to take responsibility for looking after a specific section of the Common, litter-picking a few times a week. We will provide you with pickers, gloves and bags and you can litter-pick any time that suits you. This is the perfect role for those who walk on the common every day, including dog walkers. We would also encourage you to invite your friends and family to help lighten the load. No experience is necessary for this role, just a love of Barnes Common! If you would be interested please contact Frankie by email at BCLvolunteer@barnescommon.org.uk
