We are delighted to have received local funding for an exciting new project which combines therapeutic counselling with in-home support. The successful candidate will work with People with Hoarding Behaviour (PwHB) in their home, who have been referred by the local authority into our new program. On a weekly basis you will attend the property and offer person-centred support as a partner to the PwHB, with the main goal of clearing the space, building back their wellbeing and creating a habitable environment. You will agree a set of SMART goals and work with them towards manageable milestones. You will liaise with your colleague offering therapeutic support and the operations manager to maintain a wraparound support structure and iron out any complications or conflicts.
An interest and/or experience in mental health and hoarding An empathetic persona with strong communication skills Self-motivated, tenacious and able to overcome obstacles Ability to build and maintain trust with vulnerable adults Problem solving and decision-making skills Efficient and organised with good attention to detail
Four hours a week for the duration of the programme (one year)
