Manor Gardens is seeking passionate and reliable volunteers to facilitate and deliver our popular workshops with our Activities Workers. Our wide range of activities provide support to individuals in our community who may be experiencing loneliness or social isolation and therefore the activities can act as a lifeline for them. As a Workshop Facilitator, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and quality of life of those who come to us for learning, whether it’s an ESOL class, a women’s group, or LGBT+ support group.
Empathy and Patience: Demonstrate understanding and patience, with a caring attitude. Strong Communication: Possess excellent verbal communication skills to engage effectively with individuals. Reliability: Show commitment and consistency in scheduling regular interactions. Confidentiality: Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of the individuals you befriend. Positive Attitude: Exhibit a cheerful and encouraging demeanour to uplift and support the individual.

Training and Support: Induction Training: Comprehensive training provided to prepare you for the role. Ongoing Support: Regular check-ins and support from Manor Gardens’ staff. Resources: Access to relevant training, materials and resources to assist you in your role.
