HoardingUK (HUK), the UK National Charity for people impacted by hoarding behaviour, is looking for volunteer helpline workers to join our Telephone Helpline Service providing support for adults, carers and family members across the UK who are impacted by hoarding behaviour. Often this is the first point of entry for people seeking advice. This can be an initial step leading to ongoing engagement or an answer providing relevant information empowering informed actions.
Supportive listening Managing a problem situation Empathy Therapeutic listening and reflection Making plans
Free training on hoarding behaviour, advocacy and other relevant areas will be provided. Free mandatory individual supervision and optional group supervision provided for counselling students.
