Role Detail

Description

Together Better is a Volunteer Centre Hackney project that aims to lighten the load on GP surgeries and encourage patients into activities that will benefit their health and well being, by supporting them to build inclusive and sustainable relationships and overall healthier lives. Richmond Road Medical Centre has a range of interested people wanting to learn to play chess. We are looking to recruit a volunteer/s who can teach the participants and play chess together. The session is for two hours on a Monday from 5pm till 7pm. The session will take place at Richmond Road Medical Centre each Monday in the large waiting room where there are light weight portable tables (to set up takes a few seconds). The only other requirement is to record the participants names down on a register. We had five interested people however no teacher so we are hoping very much to find someone who is happy to share their knowledge.
