To go swimming with a young man that has mobility problems and autism, with limited verbal communication. You do not need to be a good swimmer because the person tends to stay in the shallow end of the pool. The activity should be fun and doing some exercise. There will be a member of staff in attendance.
Swimmer Good communication skills Experience with with people who are non-verbal or have speech impairment and Autism would be useful but not essential as training is provided Patience Sense of humour Reliable
