Role Detail

Description

London Open Gardens is an annual event organised by the London Parks & Gardens, that takes place during the second weekend of June each year. We provide access to the best horticultural and often hidden green spaces that are not usually open to the general public. As part of the event, special activities can be provided in many of the participating venues: to foster an appreciation of the value of these spaces; to encourage and cultivate networks of gardeners to share tips; to have fun; and to enjoy the benefits of being outdoors. The aim is to create a celebratory atmosphere, encouraging people to think positively about the areas in which they live, work and visit. As a Garden Coordinator you will be expected to keep in regular contact with a selection of gardens in a particular geographical area of London and oversee their involvement in Open Gardens.
