Description

We are looking for a person passionate about languages who can speak fluently other languages alongside English to join our bright team. If you love working in diverse environments and have the ability or willingness to interpret for people who need support but the language is their barrier – get in touch! Your main goal will be to support our volunteers in interpreting for Asylum Seekers (either online or face-to-face) who arrive here from all over the world. This may mean supporting them in getting doctor’s appointment, getting signed up to school or simply feeling them understood in every-day life activities. Time commitment: Flexible (we ask for at least 2h per week) DBS checks are required and we ask all volunteers to provide a DBS at their own expense initially, however once somebody has volunteered with us for 3 months, this can then be reimbursed by C4C.
