Role Detail

Description

We are looking for people who are passionate about refugees and Asylum Seekers cause, who can regularly support our distributions of clothes, toiletries and other necessary for every-day life items. If you love working in diverse environments and have the ability or willingness to help people in need to go through this challenging for them time – please get in touch! Your main goal will be to support our lead volunteer in preparing for and delivering regular distributions for Asylum Seekers living in the designated by the Home Office hotels or dispersal accommodation. AS arrived to the UK from all over the world in pursue of safety and may not be familiar with formal processes or cultural norms. This may mean that your support my extent (if you wish to) to supporting them in getting doctor’s appointment, getting signed up to school or simply feeling them understood in every-day . Time commitment: Flexible (we ask for at least 2h per week) DBS checks are required and we ask all volunteers to provide a DBS at their own expense initially, however once somebody has volunteered with us for 3 months, this can then be reimbursed by C4C.
