Fame Star Youth groups on a weekly basis to make bonds and friendships with other young people and to have a place to feel safe and be able to express themselves freely. The youth group is also taught about each sector of the media, from being in front to behind the camera. By the end of each consecutive year the young people would have put together an event to showcase their talents and what they have learnt. Have you got experience in fundraising? Would you like to put your skills in use to help a small charity raise enough funds to continue supporting residents in need in our local community? Then this might be just the right volunteer role for you! In this role you will help us with creating and managing fundraising activities, researching and writing bids for funding applications and get involved in all tasks towards growing our income to enable us to achieve our main objectives.
Ideally you will be an experienced fundraiser and you will be brining your own knowledge and skills to this role including: - Research skills - Previous experience and knowledge on writing and monitoring applications - experience and creative ideas on raising funds within the community.
Volunteers will gain experience working within the voluntary sector and community groups, practice their skills, and have the satisfaction of knowing their work made a real difference for people locally and beyond. References will be provided.
