Our walking friends will assist disabled people to get out of their homes and take walks in their community. During the measures against Covid-19 disabled people have been isolated in their homes lacking the confidence to go outside. Without breaking government advice, you can encourage vulnerable people in your community to come out for restorative walks simply by being their for them.
This role only requires dedication, empathy and a real interest in supporting disabled people. Excellent communications skills will also be important for establishing a rapport with the person.
You will gain experience of working with and supporting disabled people as well as a reference from us.
