Xenia is an Ancient Greek word and concept of a hospitality based in generosity and reci-procity - particularly towards strangers. Since its founding in 2016 Xenia has welcomed hundreds of women from over 86 countries. Every Saturday for the past 7 years Xenia has created a safe space for participants to come together, practise their English in an informal setting, make lasting friends and contribute to a unique community - where everyone has something to learn and everyone has something to teach. We are currently recruiting for new volunteers for Childcare Support. Join our team! We are looking for women who have personal or professional experience with childcare, who are also keen to develop connections within the community. We are looking for women with a gentle, compassionate, open and fun approach to work-ing with children. Experience of living in another country/coming from another country is beneficial but not essential. An interest in women and child centric issues, migration and community organising is encouraged. Sessions are held at Newington Green Meeting House, each Saturday morning between 10am-12pm. Occasionally there will be visit sessions where we go to a museum or a visit another venue, details will be given in advance.

We require a minimum commitment of x1 (2hr) session a month per month OR 6 hrs per quarter (every 4 months)
