You will get involved in sorting, labelling and collating all materials, trimmings sequences and the various costume samples in preparation for the 2024 carnival projects. You will be required to contribute to the planning and development of creative activities; Promotion and management of the Jamboulay website and regular update of our other social media sites. Assisting in creating flyers and T-shirt printing designs. Regular outreach to old and existing members and marketing our upcoming events.
Applicants must have a genuine desire and commitment to get involved in community work. Good organisation and communication skills needed. Also, it is important that to make the most of their experience at Jamboulay, volunteers should be ready to understand the community work involving carnival activities and not be afraid to take initiatives.
Participants will have the following opportunities: - Leadership skills - Health and safety at Work - Organising and planning and decision making - Being part of a carnival management team - Will have the opportunity to learn new skills
Volunteers will be required to volunteer for at least 2 months while gaining experience in their volunteering role at Jamboulay. Activities will involve attending: 1 day a week or 2 eves a week during busy times. Must be able to attend volunteering meetings.
