As a general helper, you will get involved in the various activities taking place ahead of the Summer cultural events including the Hackney carnival costume making and performances. You will be required to contribute to the organisation and supervising of activities; such as costume making, management of facilities/premises and to get involved in all activities leading up to the carnival. Main duties: Assist with the supervision and management of costume decorating/making operations, Assist with the supervision and management of inventory, facilities and premises, Assist with the supervision and management of all activities leading up to the various Carnivals.
Applicants must have a genuine desire and commitment to get involved in community work. Good organisation and communication skills needed. Also, it is important to make the most of your experience at Jamboulay, volunteers should be ready to understand the community work environment and not be afraid to use initiative.
