Geffery's Hall is a small community centre in SE9, recently re-opened by CEYP. As part of our offer to local people, we operate a small community pantry/ social supermarket- where we welcome people to join every Thursday, where we also include a complimentary cooked breakfast. We are looking for someone who would enjoy helping us run this cafe. Duties would include: taking and preparing orders, cooking and cleaning and generally contributing to making the centre a welcoming place for people to visit. Our opening ours are: Thursdays from 11am until 2pm.
Volunteers will be trained in basic food hygiene. A love of cooking and of meeting and helping new people would be an advantage
You will meet new people and you will gain additional skills and experience. You will be helping other people to live happier, healthier lives which in turn will be personally enjoyable and rewarding for you
