Volunteers join a small team on shopping bus either Tuesday mornings or Tuesday afternoon. You will travel around Shirley picking up elderly clients and take them to the supermarket, help them shop if they need assistance and maybe enjoy a cuppa with them. Afterwards you take them home and carry their shopping into the house if required.
Volunteers should be happy working in a team and be a good communicator and possess empathy. They should also be prepared to carry shopping for clients and also happy to use a bank card payment machine (training will be provided)
This is an opportunity to join a team and make new friends as well as help people who are really grateful for your help.
