We are looking for a volunteer to be part of Blind Veterans UK to support our veterans. As a Home Visitor you would visit our veterans on a 1-2-1 basis We are looking for someone who is keen on History; in particular Singapore history. We would love someone who has knowledge of the country, preferably of Changi, and is interested to talk about this subject during weekly visits. Although you will be working in the community independently, your Volunteer Coordinator is only a phone call away. Volunteers must be over the age of 18 years and understand the importance of confidentiality and relationship boundaries. The role can be flexible around your other commitments, but we ask that you are reliable and punctual for our veterans. Finally, your expenses with public transport/petrol / parking will be on us.

You will be fully trained and supported so you feel comfortable and confident in your volunteering. And you will never be asked to do any personal care.
In order to make a difference to our Members, feeling valued and part of a team. Also, at Blind Veterans UK our volunteers won't be out of pockets as we refund their expenses with public transport/petrol/parking, coffee/tea and a sandwich.
Regular role (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) am/pm Monday to Friday
