Description

We need volunteers to join our groups across London. We have different groups to support pregnant and new mothers' asylum-seekers. Your role will involve helping during the sessions by doing some children's activities like singing, storytelling and dancing. During the sessions, we try to provide some healthy food because we know that the quality of the food in the initial accommodations where asylum-seekers are staying can sometimes be not very good, so we also need volunteers to help us in the kitchen, prepare the food and help in preparing the room before and after the mothers go. We have different groups across London and have amazing volunteers in many different fields, teachers, yoga trainers and doulas. We believe that any person has something unique to bring to our community so please feel free to reach out and find out more.

Happy Baby Community relies on volunteers to help us with our mission of supporting pregnant and new mothers. Happy Baby Community is a charity working in Greater London with pregnant and new mothers who are also seeking asylum. Many of our volunteers bring something unique to the community, so if you have skills that you think would be helpful or fun; from dancing to pottery, legal support to baking to anything else, please don’t hold back. We have groups across London: Hackney, Stratford, Hammersmith, Thornton Heath, Redhill.
