Role Detail

Description

Our incredible volunteers support refugees and people seeking asylum across Croydon. They offer their time to collect and distribute essential items and provide social support, and to help in many other different ways, such as: - Providing support to people and any concerns they may have - Being able to refer people to organisations in Croydon that will expand someone's network and get them more specialist support - Giving out emergency clothing - Helping with children craft sessions or events - Admin and virtual support is also available - Helping with activity days or running clubs

Why these skills are required

As a volunteer, you meet a wide range of different people who have been through difficult situations, therefore good communication skills and kindness are essential. We work as a team to support as many people as possible so teamwork is essential. We are looking for committed volunteers who can support someone or refer them to the correct services if needed. We believe everyone should be treated with dignity and respect so by joining our team you'd be meeting our aims.
