We are looking for volunteers who can drive and collect our older guests from their homes and then accompany them to our monthly tea parties in the Croydon area. The volunteers would receive details of the older guests they are allocated to collect from the volunteer coordinator of the group in question, who would also give them details of where the tea party is being held. The volunteer driver would stay with the older guest(s) for the duration of the tea party before running them home and ensuring they were safely back in their own home.
Full driving licence, and access to a suitable vehicle required. Proven ability to work in a team, good interpersonal skills, organisation and commitment. Ability to demonstrate caring skills.
Opportunities to take on more responsibilities such as becoming a group coordinator, fundraising and helping the charity set up special events for all the groups in Croydon to participate in.
