Quest Soul Theatre is running a new class for 18-26 yrs SEND young adults to use creative arts to help their vocational skills. Classes will cover Arts, Drama, Social media, Podcasts, Film making, Dance etc. At the end of each unit, there will be a presentation evening that volunteers are invited to attend. We are looking for volunteers to come and assist us with the running of the class. We ideally want people who have worked with SEND beforehand. We can be flexible with time and dates within your availability. The class is every Wednesday, 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Term time only. It is located in 'Community House', South Street, Bromley Duties include: Welcoming participants Helping guide individual students through activities. Helping with refreshments. Willingness to join in with creative arts activities.
Must have : Good Communication Some understanding of SEND Patience Nice to have: Creative Arts skills/experience TA experience
Volunteers will be part of something new and unique in the Bromley borough. As well as helping young people with SEND to be more confident about entering the career workforce, but they will also get opportunities to explore the arts and meet local performers and businesses. Volunteers will also be invited to 'Performace evenings' with special guests and a chance to celebrate the students and their hard work. Volunteers will also be asked for their feedback and ideas on how we can shape the group moving forward.
Wednesdays, 1-3 hours a week, term time only. One-hour training session.
