You will be trained by one of our trainers in small, online group sessions to go into a local primary school and support children to grow a love of reading. You will be taught how to engage in book chat and play games using books. You will commit to attending school at least one afternoon a week, every week during school term time where you will support the same children each week. We will give you ongoing support through our online portal and dedicated support representative.
You need to have a good level of English and be able to commit to going into school weekly. You will also need to be able to complete an enhanced level DBS (we will support you with this).
You will benefit from knowing you are givin back to your local community as well as supporting the next generation. You will gain experience of being in a busy school environment.
