Volunteer GCSE English Tutor (Online)
GT Scholars programme
Help young people reach their English grades by providing 1-to-1 tutoring support for 1 hour a week.
(1) Volunteers will need to be able to tutor English up to GCSE level. (2) You will receive induction & training, as well as regular support & supervision and a volunteer handbook. (3) We will need to conduct reference checks and you will need an Enhanced DBS for this role as you will be working directly with children. We can process this for you or you may submit one if this is less than 2 years old.

(1) With the help of volunteer tutors we have seen more than 60% of our scholars improve by at least 2 grades within a year (ie. D-grade to a B-grade). (2) Volunteer tutors will help scholars improve by identifying where their strengths and weaknesses lie within the subject. (3) With the GT Scholars programme, you will be a part of a team that tackles educational inequality by giving ambitious young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, the strategies, skills and support they need to achieve their academic and career ambitions. (4) Gain interesting and new perspectives by working with young people from diverse backgrounds. (5) Receive training and support and be part of a community of like-minded volunteers.
