Animal General Helper and/or Dog Walker.
Animal General Helper: Every day our animals are cleaned/mucked-out, fed, watered and checked for any health concerns/issues. This is undertaken in the morning before we open to the public from 1.30pm. We ask volunteers to arrive between 9.00-9.30am so they can assist with the cleaning/mucking-out, feeding, watering and other general tasks that must be undertaken within the individual animal enclosures. In the afternoon we undertake general ad-hoc jobs. These include wash & dry the blankets, tidy up the storage areas, sort donations received for the animals, and most importantly spending good one-to-one time with the animals. Dog Walker: All our dogs need regular exercise and walking throughout the course of the day, as well as help with any ongoing training. They also need good one-to-one time with a walker. This ensures that the dogs are kept as relaxed as possible and that their time here is as enriched as much as possible. Dog Walking is undertaking from 8.30am to 10.30am, then from 11.30am to 5.30pm (earlier in the winter months), and can be undertake at a time & duration that suits your personal circumstances.
