Allotment of Refuge - Action for Refugees in Lewisham

Support the Allotment of Refuge food project, working with people with a lived experience of migration or seeking asylum.

Detailed Description

AFRIL’s Allotment of Refuge is an integrated group of growers both with and without lived experience of migration. The Allotment provides a weekly wellbeing space where people can come together to learn about food growing, learn new skills and enjoy a shared lunch. The Allotment also grows crops which are distributed at AFRIL’s Foodbank. Our volunteers are crucial in supporting AFRIL staff to obtain the best outcomes for AFRIL's clients, and this role will provide you with an opportunity to see a hands-on outdoor project, learn about growing and gain valuable insight into the immigration system and its many challenges.
