Ham and Petersham SOS
List shoppers do the shopping for older residents who are unable to visit their local supermarket to shop for themselves
We are looking for Volunteers who are happy to collect a shopping list from a client (either by telephone, e-mail or in person,) visit the supermarket to shop and then deliver the shopping back to the clients home address. This can be weekly, fortnightly, monthly or flexible.

We are looking for people of all ages with a heart for older and or disabled people. You will need to be reliable, friendly and approachable and have empathy, compassion and patience. You will need a full, clean driving license and be prepared to ensure that your car insurance covers your voluntary work. Someone who is willing to help people to stay independent.
So many people don't have family who live close to them. We connect people who want to help, with people who need help. It's a win, win. Those who volunteer feel more engaged with the people within their own local communities. And those people who ask us for help are able to get to appointments, see their friends and get out and about
