You will go to a primary school in London to deliver workshops about climate change and action! This involves: • Undertaking training to gain familiarity with the workshop materials (this is done remotely). • Delivering a programme of five 1-hour workshops, during school hours. • Providing feedback to Climate Ed about the effectiveness of the programme. • Conducting a follow-up evaluation with the workshop participants two months after the end of the programme to see how much CO2 they have sav
Climate Ed is a charity which offers primary schools volunteer-led workshops about climate science and action. Our aims are to engage children about climate change and inspire them and their families to take action. Our programme is fully resourced, great fun to deliver and we provide training. No teaching experience is necessary but passion for, and some foundational knowledge about, climate change is helpful. More information can be found at www.climateed.net .

• clear communication skills and an ability to present information in an engaging manner; • knowledge/expertise of climate change (and related environmental/sustainability issues); • people who enjoy interacting with children and answering their questions. • we require volunteers to be aged 18 or over. Climate Ed has a robust safeguarding policy and all volunteers are thoroughly vetted and require an enhanced DBS check.
• A chance to develop public speaking skills and gain facilitation experience. • The opportunity to play a vital role in helping to improve understanding of climate change. • A chance to take real action by addressing the major issue of the 21st century.
Minimum 5 x 1-hour workshops in schools plus travel and preparation time.
