Help local men connect through shared interests by hosting friendly, informal Steeev Micro Meets. You will welcome attendees, encourage conversation and help create positive experiences that can lead to lasting friendships. No previous experience required. Full guidance and support provided.
Steeev is a social connection platform helping men do more of the things they love while building meaningful friendships and stronger local communities. We are looking for volunteer hosts to run occasional Steeev Micro Meets. These are small, informal gatherings built around shared interests such as walking, coffee, board games, football, history, photography, live music, quizzes, museums, pubs, comedy or local events. As a host, you do not need to be an entertainer, counsellor or community worker. Your role is simply to welcome attendees, help people feel comfortable, encourage conversation and ensure everyone has a positive experience. Typical Micro Meets involve between 2 and 10 people and usually last between one and three hours. Responsibilities may include: • Welcoming attendees and making introductions • Helping conversations get started • Encouraging inclusion and participation • Following Steeev safeguarding and conduct guidelines • Reporting any concerns to the Steeev team • Providing brief feedback after the event This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, wants to support men's wellbeing and would like to help build stronger communities.

No formal qualifications or previous volunteering experience are required. We are looking for people who: • Are friendly and approachable • Enjoy meeting new people • Are reliable and organised • Can communicate confidently with small groups • Can follow basic safeguarding and conduct guidance Training and support will be provided.
• Help tackle social isolation and strengthen communities • Develop leadership and facilitation skills • Gain experience in event hosting and community building • Meet people who share your interests • Build confidence and communication skills • Become part of the Steeev volunteer community • References available after a sustained volunteering commitment
Flexible. Typically one to four hours per month. Volunteers can host as many or as few Micro Meets as they wish. Recommended Commitment: At least one Micro Meet every two months.
