Tech volunteer needed to redesign website & support with internal systems
Help a mental health sports charity transform our digital presence! We need a volunteer to redesign our website and manage our participant database. You will build an accessible, mobile-friendly layout, create secure sign-up forms, and integrate backend data systems while ensuring GDPR compliance.This flexible role offers full technical ownership of a major project, making it a perfect CV-boosting portfolio piece. Web Design & Development: Ability to build a fresh, accessible, and mobile-friendly website layout. Database & Tech Fluency: Comfort learning and structuring specialised data systems (training is provided). Systems Integration: Skill to connect front-end website sign-up forms securely to back-end databases. GDPR & Data Privacy: A strong understanding of confidentiality when handling sensitive mental health participant registrations. Problem Solving: Ability to link design with technical data structures to keep operations running smoothly.
Lifecycle Web Redesign: Practical experience planning, structuring, and launching a complete mobile-friendly website layout. Accessible UI/UX Design: Mastery in building digital templates that meet high web accessibility standards for diverse users. Charity-Specific Data Platforms: Hands-on expertise using specialized monitoring and evaluation systems preferred by UK funding bodies. Secure Systems Integration: Real-world knowledge of safely linking public front-end sign-up forms with secure back-end databases. GDPR Compliance in Practice: High-level experience handling sensitive, confidential health data under strict data privacy regulations. Technical Project Management: Proven ability to take full technical ownership of a major project launch from scratch.
