Join our friendly team as a Book Department Volunteer with Sue Ryder and help bring the joy of reading to the local community. In this role, you’ll sort, price and organise donated books, create attractive displays, and assist customers in finding their next great read.

Detailed Description

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of life or living with grief can access the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters through our 7 hospices, Grief Kind spaces and online counselling and bereavement services. Join our friendly team as a Book Department Volunteer with Sue Ryder and help bring the joy of reading to the local community in our new section dedicated to literature. In this role, you’ll sort, price and organise donated books, create attractive displays, and assist customers in finding their next great read. You’ll also help keep the shop floor tidy, process stock, and support day-to-day shop activities. This is a great opportunity to build retail and customer service skills, meet new people, and contribute to vital fundraising that supports Sue Ryder’s ongoing goals. No prior experience is needed—just a passion for books, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
