Can you provide a listening ear, deliver shopping, or run an errand to a diverse group of people? Would you like to volunteer but cannot commit to regular days and times? If the answer is yes, then we need you!
Our Hospital Aftercare Service supports people over 50+ living in Bromley who were recently discharged. Helping to provide clients with shopping support after their stay in hospital by once a week for up to six weeks. Email with weekly updates to the coordinator after each visit keeping her updated about any concerns. Be able to draw on your own emotional resilience and bear mind that service is for a short period only. Attend support groups and training relevant to being a volunteer. Work together with us in accordance with GDPR principles and adhere to Age UK Bromley & Greenwich’s policies and procedures,

IT skills - basic, IT Skills - good, Managing People, Organising & Planning
Able to make a time commitment helping an older person with shopping - Being adaptable and flexible - Excellent communication skills - Good sense of judgement in completing practical tasks.
Helping older isolated peole who have recently been discharged from hospital Engagement with the local community Sense of connection, purpose and making a difference Taking on a challenge.
